I'm a bit bored at work so was flicking through right move....as you do. I'm finding the pictures chosen for listings mind boggling at the moment.

I think that picture 13 here is particularly informative!

and this one seems to have a strange obsession with windows and curtains?!

Thanks for these - both a bit dreary!

summersolstice43 · 10/05/2021 15:45

The paintwork on the fence on the first one is horrendous :(

BigSandyBalls2015 · 10/05/2021 15:52

Christ a toddler could have painted that fence better!

Cerealnamechangerstrikesagain · 10/05/2021 15:54

They are both very detailed listings for rentals - round here all you get is about three pics, usually of the outside, and no floor plan.

Tambora · 10/05/2021 16:04

I'm feeling sorry for that second house - it looks sad and lonely.

Sonofabiscuit · 10/05/2021 16:08

The "feature wall" in the lounge pic ...is it padded or am I seeing things ?

It does look like someone's slaughtered some pigs of the far side of the fence
Nobranothanks · 10/05/2021 16:27

I hadn't noticed the fence 😂

@Cerealnamechangerstrikesagain the rental market and prices are ridiculous in this area (guess I'll have to name change now). During and since covid the market has changed drastically and is now obscenely competitive - so much so that many people now take the let on houses purely on the listings without even looking at them.

I think the marks on the fence are the fact it had been raining, and there is no evidence of a pig carcass in any of the other photos.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 10/05/2021 16:43

On the first one - what exactly is picture 4? It reminds me of a padded booth in a diner.

WildGeese · 10/05/2021 16:48

This one has so many amazing pictures it’s difficult to choose my favourite. The repeated themes of ‘plant’ and ‘reflected in mirror’ are particularly brilliant. But special mention has to go to number 17.

Wow . 27 is quite special... and what’s the black thing lurking in the corner of 29/30?

Looks like a TV possibly?
WildGeese · 10/05/2021 17:03

The house seems so obviously uninhabited, it makes me wonder if 17 is in fact the current owner?! I can picture him sitting on that chair watching the tv. Or wandering through to the kitchen to help himself to some of the random pile of fruit...

C0nn1e · 10/05/2021 17:10

If anyone lives near the second house, please could you pop round and hang the toilet paper correctly.

Allllchange · 10/05/2021 17:12

Buy a house and get a parrot thrown in free?

lostlife · 10/05/2021 17:14

I want the parrot

I once had a BF who was going to inherit a grey parrot. He wanted to get married and I was very tempted by the parrot.

cutebutscary · 10/05/2021 17:17

Not only am I digging the parrot , but the picture of the invisible fruit bowl in the kitchen and the boxers hanging over a mirror in the bedroom are piquing my interest

OMG I snorted at the parrot! That's just brilliant! Grin

Mildmanneredmum · 10/05/2021 17:37

The TV seems to be sitting on a sunbed

devildeepbluesea · 10/05/2021 17:41

I'm loving the parrot. I did have quite a chuckle at the single armchair in front of the TV. Reminded me of that Alan Partridge episode with the crazy fan, where he had to drink tea out of an Arielator 🤣
