Following the classic 'not romantic things' thread, thought we should have a less classic thread about things that are surprisingly romantic.
I've always loved that my DH's wedding proposal was totally spontaneous on a nice but not super special day out and he didn't know he was going to say it until the words came out of his mouth. There was no ring or romantic meal - we just went to meet some friends for a drink as planned afterwards. To me (though I appreciate not for everyone) that was more romantic than a planned ahead one.
