Anyone have one of these and has experience of how long bleeding after having it fitted goes on?

I've had one for 18 months. I had spotting for a few days but my GP told me to finish the pack of cerazette I was taking so I don't know if this helped because I had no periods for the whole time I was taking it.

Mine was about a week I think

Thanks. Hope it is only a week! Maybe the fitting brought on my period.... guess that's possible. 🤞

I only had spotting for a day or two. But the periods with a copper coil were horrific. Like something out of a horror film. 9 days long and very heavy and leaking every where. I managed nearly 2 years with it before I had it taken out. I'm getting older and cycles have shortened to about 3 weeks, so I was bleeding about as much as I wasn't bleeding. It's been life-changing to have it out and I'm on the mini pill now and periods have returned to normal. Hopefully you don't have the same experience, but if you do, you don't have to put up with it. I wish I'd not stuck with it as long as I did.
