We have sky and Netflix but would rather not pay to buy or rent a film. No sci if or horror please. Any suggestions?

Great suggestion but have already seen and would like something we haven’t yet seen

I get confused what we have seen on Netflix or Amazon prime but enjoyed Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody recently

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 08/05/2021 16:57

Thunder Force - it's on Netflix

IHaveBrilloHair · 08/05/2021 16:59

Trial by fire is good, not lighthearted though.
I can't remember what else I've seen on Netflix recently, I've been watching a lot of Prime.

CheerfulBunny · 08/05/2021 16:59

We're going to watch Rocketman (the Elton John biopic) as it's new to Netflix and we haven't seen it. Watched The Dig last week on Netflix, that's good but a bit melancholic.

Spotlight

Not an easy watch, but bloody brilliant, streaming on NF now I believe.

Also it has the delicious Mark Ruffalo, always a bonus.

FizzyPink · 08/05/2021 17:07

Films we’ve enjoyed recently -
Lion
The Upside
Honest Thief
The Mauritanian

Think they’re all on Prime. We also tried Palm Springs last weekend and had to turn it off as it was so dire. No idea how it’s got such a good star rating.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 08/05/2021 17:07

It's not a movie but Sky are now showing Banshee. It's a great show. Dh and I will rewatch it.

FizzyPink · 08/05/2021 17:07

Sorry just saw you have Sky or Netflix, ignore my suggestions!

Skyliner001 · 08/05/2021 17:08

New Sandra bullock thriller on Netflix think it's called. Premonition

Embracelife · 08/05/2021 17:10

Baby teeth on netflix

TurquoiseTissues · 08/05/2021 17:10

JoJo Rabbit

Imnotamagician · 08/05/2021 17:13

We're trying tenet tonight on sky cinema - but not sure if it's classed as Sci fi or not.

MozzarellaMonster · 08/05/2021 17:17

@Imnotamagician if you watch Tenet on Sky use subtitles the sound is awful at times... apparently the director did it on purpose but it's a pain in the arse at times!

Smidge001 · 08/05/2021 17:24

We just watched that Korean film parasite and really enjoyed it

DDiva · 08/05/2021 17:26

Rocket mans just been released on Netflix if you've not seen it.....

SleepyMama25 · 08/05/2021 17:35

Run on Netflix is good!

SleepyMama25 · 08/05/2021 17:35

Or behind her eyes if you fancy a series. Only 6 episodes

hohohobitches · 08/05/2021 17:36

The Choice

B1rdflyinghigh · 08/05/2021 17:37

Run was recommended here a few weeks ago and it really is a good film and worth a watch.

gottakeeponmovin · 08/05/2021 19:40

That new Sandra Bullock was a bit disappointing

BowserJr · 08/05/2021 19:43

We watched tenet last night. The sound wasn't as bad as it was at the cinema. I didn't have any problems with it this time. Really enjoyed it second time around (once I knew what was going on!).

I really want to watch the Billie Holliday film, but not sure DH can be convinced.

RunningFromInsanity · 08/05/2021 19:44

Can’t remember what’s Netflix or Prime but

Love and Monsters - easy watching, surprisingly enjoyable

Knives Out

Enola Holmes
