I've had fatigue and various symptoms on and off for a long time. Last summer had a virus.. possibly covid but none of the main symptoms you could test for. I had another virus in February. Did lateral flow which was negative and none of the main covid symptoms so probably not.
I've had issues on and off with fatigue, getting every virus going pre covid times, I also have tinnitus, bouts of tummy trouble like IBS, dizziness and sometimes nausea. I ache like I have the flu. My body feels kind of tingly sometimes and when I had the viruses I was cold and shivery but no fever.
Latest doctor is doing tests. My iron is low but doctor says normal limits. Blood tests all ok for other stuff apart from one marker for inflammation which is going to be tested again soon.
She says possible ME or chronic fatigue syndrome.
I feel awful this weekend. No energy and just flopped on sofa. It's really getting me down. Im a lone parent with a stressful job, no family support and limited social contact... because of covid but friends have also drifted because of covid.
I feel really down. All the things I want to change, like maybe finding a new partner one day or doing up the house or making new friends or even smaller things like having a weekend away or going for a nice walk, I feel like they're beyond my reach.
If you have chronic fatigue syndrome, how do you cope? Does it get better? I'm trying not to despair. Struggling today though.
I'm also perimenopausal so could it be just that?
