"Trauma Teddies" - where to send them, help please !

These 3 knitted teddies are awaiting a destination. I have sent previous teddies to first responders via a niece's boyfriend but since they broke up, this avenue is no longer available. E - mails to my nearest Air ambulance service just bounce back.

If anyone can nominate a service or charity which can receive/distribute these teddies I would love to know.

Thanks in anticipation Flowers

Hospitals usually have a 'Friends of' charity shop that sell these bears. I am sure your nearest one would take them.

It's a lovely activity @TurnStone Smile

I found that organisation on google - I'm sure there are others out there too but it looked like a good cause

@WaltzingBetty yes they are fun and quick to knit, but I don't really enjoy embroidering the faces, it's difficult to create a symmetrical and benign expression.

Your googling skills surpassed anything I could find Blush

Knit for Peace accepts knitted toys. I’ve sent them knitted teddies.

Try your local police. Ours do "Bobby Buddies" to give out to children in stressful situations.

TurnStone · 09/05/2021 12:48

Thanks for the compliment, WaltzingBetty Blush

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER and Margaret Thursday thank you for the great suggestions. My inclination is to try to place the teddies locally in the first instance.

They have really kind faces [heart eyes]

Leah2005 · 09/05/2021 17:21

Fire Services usually take them. Google your local service and give them a ring.

PinkBuffalo · 09/05/2021 17:31

They have lovely faces op 🙂
Also suggest the police. Ours often asks for items like books etc for youngsters that have to be in custody
Ours also have items like this to help people in custody who may be autistic etc 👍
