Would this be too much?

I have a lovely neighbour. They are very nice people. They are friendly and good people. We're not very close for being friends or anything. They are just lovely, friendly people.

One of their children had an accident last week and I am only just learning about it now. They are home from hospital and recovering.

I am thinking about going online to the toy shop in my city and putting in an order for a gift card for the child as a get well soon gift. The child who had an accident has 1 sibling and the siblings birthday is coming up. If I get a card for 1, I would probably have to buy a gift card for the other.

Were not overly close or anything. Just wondering would it be too much?

IMO a bit much maybe, yes. Couldn't you buy a nice magazine for the poorly kid or something on that scale?

I agree maybe a magazine or activity book. Otherwise you'd add birthdays then the sick child birthday will soon come around. Then each year after it may be almost expected (by the child they may think.. Ohh lovely neighbour may get me a gift again like last year)

Keep it just to the injured child. Something small, age dependent. 'Hope you feel better, soon!' etc.
