Mascara minus plastic wrapper

I ordered mascara on a Sainsbury's supermarket delivery and it has arrived without a plastic wrapper on the outside. I haven't bought mascara for well over a year is this normal now? The brand is Maybelline if that makes a difference. I'm worried it could have been used already.

Ah- I bought the new pink maybelline sky high in boots on Saturday and when I unpacked my shopping I panicked thinking I'd bought a tester as no packaging but I wonder if they have got rid of it?

last I bought had a sticker over the screw tol only.

That's exactly the one I bought too! No sticker like pp mentioned either but sounds like they must not have any packaging if we both have the same.

Phew I've been scared to use mine -I've put it in quarantine !!! Will use it now

This has happened lots from Boots. Its not great, is it.

Boots are terrible for this. I always buy my mascara from Superdrug as they always leave the plastic wrapper on
