One thing to really make a difference?

I work full time but DC grown up so have "some" time to give.

I have a comfortable income, not wealthy, but enough to help someone out occasionally and/or donate to charity.

If I was looking for one act that would really make a difference, what would you choose?

Would it be via a charity or other organisation? Directed at an individual? Some sort of mobilisation to change the world?

I've done lots of volunteering and regularly donate, but don't feel I'm having much (enough) impact, like I'm just playing at it. What could really make a difference?

The two volunteer roles I've done where I really felt I was making a difference were running a kids club at a women's refuge and running a conversation group for refugees who were learning English.
