Any recommendations for a petrol mpv?

I need a car that can fit an adult between two car seats in the back (or possibly in a boot seat) - only occasionally.

So I'm looking at MPV style cars (Touran, Peugeot 5008, Grand C Max, Grand Picasso, etc. I dont want anything too big like a Sharan).

However, I need a petrol car as I do about 700 miles p/w, mostly made up of short journeys, with longer journeys for days out about once or twice a month, so a diesel is no good. But pretty much every car I can find in my price range (£7k) is a diesel.

Are there any other mpv style petrol cars that I haven't considered?

I thought diesel was recommended for higher mileage? A car salesman told me not to even consider diesel when I said how few miles I do (less than 10k a year).
Some of the older Nissan Qashqai models had 2 additional fold up seats in the back.
Vauxhall Zafira
Kia Sedona
Toyota Corolla Verso
Mazda 5
If you go on the autotrader website you can refine your search by number of seats.

Sorry Blush I meant I do 700 miles per month, not per week! Whoops.

I looked at all of those you mentioned and ended up with a BMW 7 seater - I think its a tourer? I love it although the price has literally halved in the two years since I bought it unfortunately. Its If you look on the BMW website they sell demo models and others for reasonable price. You'll be surprised - this car is much cheaper than other BMWS because they are aiming for the mum market. The ideal being mums will buy them, convince their partners to buy a BMW, want their children to have them...etc. It looks like a normal car from the outside so its not too big to drive but you can change the boot to two seats. My sons 6ft friends sit on these but I don't really think they are for adults although I could do short journeys (5ft4inch) but I can confirm the middle seat fits an adult. I am size 16 and that was one of my criteria because I wanted to use the passenger seat for my elderly m'n'law while my hubby drives and I didn't want to be squished.

I've looked it up and looks like a great car, fits all my criteria but can't find a petrol one within budget. Thanks though!
