Does anyone else get very puffy when their period is due?

I’ve grown at least four extra chins in a week. . I’m bloated and my face and hands are so puffy.

I’m exhausted and I’ve constantly eaten for 4 days straight . I am ravenous! Today, I’m so teary and snappy and I just want to curl under my duvet and sleep.

This will go on for another day or two until my period finally shows up. I hate them!

Does anyone else puff up like a wotsit before they’re due on?

It makes me so self conscious , I can feel my face is heavier Grin

I get some bloating - it's worse in hot weather. I am currently eating about 9 million calories a day and feeling like nothing is worth the effort and I might as well be dead. Water retention is not my biggest premenstrual challenge... but a few more days and I will be fine (apart from period cramps.)

I get bloating. On really bad months my joints in my back and wrist start to really ache

@EBearhug I have also mentally divorced DH three times this week and decided nothing is worth the effort either.

I would have thought that Mother Nature would have adapted over the years ; can’t we just have an app for this :

Swipe left if you want to attempt to get pregnant this month .... swipe right if you don’t Grin

I came off the pill recently after over ten years and oh my god, the PMT. I know when my period is coming because my mood just plunges in the 24 to 48 hours before I’m due on. We are talking so low I could happily burst into tears over the slightest thing.

Yeah..

I suffer slightly from PMDD

Dh practically moves out the week before my period Grin

@Soubriquet wouldn’t it be easier all round if he actually did? Grin . The fact DH breathes is enough to give me the rage!

He already sleeps on the sofa and lets me lounge around in my bedroom with my tv so that I can be alone when I need to. He also cooks for me and cleans up afterwards

So I think I’ll keep him Grin

I'm the same op.
And charmingly I can't stop crying today, which I get maybe every other month or one out of three if I'm lucky.
Just want to go to bed and stay there tbh.
