A friend is looking at opening a limited company. Would like me to work pt flexi for them.
They want me to do the booking of jobs (mechanics) and basic accounts like keeping the monthly income and expenditure filed but would be using an accountant to do the accounting properly.

This is going to be in around 11m time. New financial year and then my dc will be old enough for pre school funding.and gives him time to get sorted prior.

I haven't used a computer for years so I'm guessing a basic pc skills?
What about for basic accounts?

He wants me as I'm super organised in every other way but my brain feels a bit like mush at home with th dcs all the time so need to get brain working in the meantime haha

If your friend will be hiring an accountant, the accountant should provide software to use as all accounting should be stored digitally now due to the Making Tax Digital roll out. Highly likely they will either use Quickbooks or Xero and your role would be to input the sales data and expenses onto one of these systems for the accountant. The software have training videos on them but also the accountant should provide you with free training on how to use these softwares too.
Hope this helps x

Have you got a laptop or PC you can use? If you haven't used one for years then I would familiarise yourself with the basics first.

You can find free courses on the internet that will teach you the basics of MS packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel, which are probably the main ones you will need.
