Insect repellent recommendations please!

We're Scotland bound this summer, along with everyone else it seems.

I tend to have nasty reactions to insect bites so I'm looking for the best repellent there is as well as something for the kids.

Any recommendations?

Where abouts in Scotland are you going? If west or north the only thing you'll want is Smidge. Its very gentle on your skin and is the only thing I've found that works.
Don't use Avon skin so soft. It has deet in it and is horrible on sensitive skin.

We're visiting most parts of Scotland at some point but yes, will be spending quite some time in the West

Works as well as chemical insect repellents, smells lovely ( not like insect repellent!), moisturising and non-greasy. Doesn’t irritate my skin at all.
