2 years now and under foot is still numb. Doctor doesn't give two turds. Anyone found anything helps?

I think if the nerves were damaged or severed then they don't regrow. The feeling won't come back. I've got metal work in my ankle and I hate touching the skin around the scars as it feels so odd. I got mine 15 years ago or so.

Nerves do rejoin if severed surgically though; after my knee replacement I couldn't move my leg for weeks, as they'd cut the nerves when they cut my leg open. Can't help with pins though.

Two years on, there isn't anything that can be done tbh. For motor nerves they will sometimes be able to do a nerve graft, and nerves can be rejoined when its a fresh cut (but still not a guarantee), but presumably your ankle was pinned due to a big injury so the numbness could be from the injury or the surgery.
