My tween will soon be getting a phone but before we do, I'm trying to gather some info from seasoned parents about how to make it as safe as possible. DS is autistic so I need to be really clear with him before hand on how we will control it etc.

What security measures do you have in place?
Any apps to avoid or get which help with safety / security etc?
What do kids use to message each other these days??!
