I’m getting a well needed cut and my highlights done on Saturday morning. Back home to tidy up and then do a food shop, I’m trying a new recipe for Saturday tea (haven’t decided what to cook yet though)

Sunday will be a walk in the woods in the morning, home for a roast dinner, tidy up and then a sit down with a few homemade cocktails. Relaxing weekend but I can’t wait.

Going to a museum on Saturday with the kids. Will have a kid free Saturday night so planning on a nice takeaway, bottle of wine and a film with DH. Nothing planned for Sunday. The weather is to be quite bad here so probably another day stuck in.

I forgot my Sat & Sunday plans Grin

Saturday nothing planned.

Sunday & walk with DP & a friend. Then a double swim session at the Lido.

Lovely to read all the plans for the weekend. Some sort of normality back.
Friday night we are having BIL/SIL and DCs round for takeaway and catch up.
Saturday we are meeting up with friends at national trust place and taking a picnic. Hopefully it stays dry! We have booked dinner at our favourite restaurant for the way home, friends also joining us. They may come back to ours for drinks/coffees depending on time.
Sunday morning DDs will swim with DH and some of the girls have tennis lessons then we are going for a long bike ride. Youngest DD hasn’t been in the trailer yet so hoping she likes it! We will go to my parents afterwards for a Sunday roast and DDs will have a chance to play with their cousins.
Looking forward to it and hoping the weather is on our side.
Hope everyone has a lovely time!

I seem to be the only person not really doing much at all?

Need to pop to shops to stock up on toiletries but may do that tomo. Weather permitting will take toddler out on his balance bike or scooter (maybe both) and that's it really

mogloveseggs · 06/05/2021 21:08

Another not doing much. Was supposed to be working Sunday but been furloughed due to bad weather.
Ds has a football match Sunday that I will be able to go to-that's a plus. He has a cricket match tomorrow night too. Maybe a walk or two over the weekend and not much else.

badlydrawnbear · 06/05/2021 21:13

Working on Saturday, only 8hrs which is a short shift for me, so will be home in time to cook dinner and do bed time for DC. On Sunday we will probably end up finishing DCs' homework. School is closed today and tomorrow but there is home learning set and we are not keeping up with it. Would like to also do something nice, but no idea what. I am then working a night shift on Sunday.

Hopefully having my 3rd baby! I'm having a sweep done tomorrow morning. I also had one on my son and daughter and they were both born the day after, so I'm hopeful again this time round!

KurtWilde · 06/05/2021 21:37

@HaNNaHC92 oh that's so exciting! All the best!

Misty9 · 06/05/2021 21:51

Probably not a lot. I've had to stop driving for medical reasons - just as we can actually get out and about more Sad although Saturday is screens day here anyway. Might drag the dc out for a walk on Sunday, luckily we've got quite a bit of nature in walking distance. There will be some feeding of people and chores involved too no doubt.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2021 22:01

Tomorrow night is likely to involve crashing in a chair after work and only moving to lift a slice of.pizza to my mouth, or something along those lines.

Saturday morning will involve some time in the garden if it's nice, or some crafting if it's raining.

Saturday afternoon and evening we're meeting friends for drinks and dinner outside a pub.

Sunday will probably involve a visit to a cafe and a walk.

dementedma · 06/05/2021 22:10

Will be travelling back to Scotland from a week in France, armed with more paperwork and covid certificates than you can shake a stick at, and 10 days isolation ahead.

ALevelhelp · 06/05/2021 22:16

Not too much, which isn't a bad thing as I'm finding work hard going at the moment so need to get over the trauma over the weekends BlushGrin

IhaveMyMoments · 06/05/2021 22:38

Hopefully some peace or a lie in.
We have dsc this week so will keep the 3 Yr old entertained UNTIL they squabble.
DH is working Saturday so I'm home with 4 kids. But meant to be rain anyway. If dry I'll take them to park or lock them in garden haha.
Im doing a roast Saturday as well be in most of the day anyway so frees up Sunday if it's dry to go out.
Food shop done will need fresh fruit over weekend.
Tomorrow I'm a waiting for a parcel so will get most of the housework etc done then

My in-laws are coming on Saturday and bringing my husband's Grandma who we've not seen in over a year for US Mother's day. We're all fully vaccinated, so it's all above board.

We're going to surprise Grandma with her third great-grandbaby and all of them with the news it's their first (great) granddaughter. We're very excited!

bloodywhitecat · 07/05/2021 17:57

@KurtWilde I am doing a small light fruit cake as the top and a lemon sponge for the base. We only have 15 guests so we didn't want a huge fruit cake.

My Friday turned out really well, the little one we looked after for a year and who we moved on to her forever home in the midst of the first lockdown asked mummy if she could video chat with us tonight so we had a lovely catch up with her today.

@bloodywhitecat that sounds lovely! We only had 10 there so decided to make a little poll of 2 cakes for the guests and see which got the most votes. Vanilla cake with dark chocolate ganache or lemon cake with mascarpone frosting cake. It was a tie so I made both Grin

bloodywhitecat · 08/05/2021 16:01

Both of those combinations sound amazing!

I made the top tier yesterday and it was a bloody disaster, remade it today and bingo!
