Are all men grumpy ba****ds at home?

I’ve been married for 5 years and when we first started dating my dh made me feel really special, he was full of compliments, said I was the best at my job, I had a fantastic sense of humour etc etc

These days everything I say and do is wrong, none of my opinions matter, I’m no good at my job and all I do is “sit at a desk and do nothing all day”. If we see someone he knows he changes into the person I used to know, he’s complimentary, funny, charming. Do all men save their grumpy side for long suffering wives? Hmm

Nope, all knobheads do though
What’s good about your relationship?

Have you talked to him, Is he still happy in the marriage?
Because whilst you don’t sound happy, and rightly so, he doesn’t sound happy either.

Tell him that he's getting into the habit of being grumpy, and that it's deeply unattractive. Being grumpy is just being emotionally lazy around those closest to you.

I've just gone through this with mine. We have a 5 year old and a 6 month old so pretty hectic. He has a tendency to get grumpy and be quite childish (think having arguments with DD5 over who's going to push the button on the remote Angry) and can turn into something of a fun sponge. We have a pretty good relationship so we had a really good talk yesterday. He knows he's being a bit of a twat, he said he's tired as he woke up at 5am for 2 days. I reminded him that I haven't had a full nights sleep since before the baby was born and he suddenly went very sheepish and realised how shit he was being Grin Have you had a discussion with him?
