I am struggling to think of something to give DDs friends! what is the done thing at 12 years old with a small group of girls who we are taking to the cinema and for lunch followed by a sleepover?

Nothing, if you're paying the the days activities you don't need to do anything else

MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 06/05/2021 14:43

A goodbye?

If you are paying for the cinema/lunch, why do you need favours?

If anything, a piece of birthday cake?
Sweets? Wrapped chocolates like a handful of celebrations? A chap stick/plain lip gloss?

Stumpedasatree · 06/05/2021 15:24

Ok great, a slice of cake we can do!

Nothing is absolutely fine
But how about taking some nice pictures and. Turning them into thank you cards??

Barnbop2 · 06/05/2021 15:31

Sweet cones, or sweets in general

Astronaut8 · 06/05/2021 15:35

Bath bomb
Sweet cone/sweets
Hair stuff
Face mask (be used at sleepover)
Lip balm

All can be picked up for coppers at home bargains

Barnbop2 · 06/05/2021 15:52

Oh yeah, I definitely second the bath bomb. My 12 year old is bath bomb obsessed at the moment, as are her friends. There are some cool ones at Home Bargains with jewels, lights, jewellery in. Cheap too.

DD has been to sleepovers where they have been given matching PJs, another where they were given eye masks and another where they were given hairbrushes with their initials on.

Perfume samples, lip gloss, eyeshadow palettes, bracelets, make up bag, mirror, bath bomb, purse, nice pen, sweets. I love party bags, they are the best bit, but there aren't popular on MN. However my teen's friends still reminisce on party bags from previous years so I think they have value. I often put them in a nice reusable tote (Typo is great for this) or make up bag from Savers or Home Bargains.

Sweet cones.
Cupcake.

I haven't done party bags since primary school
