My DH has been made redundant, so he is making an application for Universal Credit. I am still working, so we’re not sure if we would be eligible for anything with my income , but decided it was worth a try.
It has to be a joint application, so I did my section last night, and I got an email today saying I have a phone appointment about my UC claim tomorrow. However, DH has not been invited for a phone appointment despite being the person who started the claim and the one who is unemployed.
Any idea why UC would want to speak to me, and not him? The only different in our application was that I was stated that I received child benefit (as it’s in my name) and was asked about childcare costs, while he was not (despite him stating we have one child in his application.
