Calling all midwives: continuity of care

I know there are lots of midwives on here. Just hoping to canvas your views on continuity of care. Has your unit moved to this way of working yet? If so, how does it work? What do the hours look like?

My Trust is just starting out, but I am terrified I'm about to lose my career that I have fought tooth and nail to keep hold of. I have been a single parent for 6 years with no family support and just about manage with paid childcare whilst working community days (22.5 hours). I've got a probably 6 more years of needing to work 9-5 hours. I really don't know how COC is going to affect this.

I cried at work today. I have chest pain through anxiety about the whole thing. I'm terrified I'm going to lose everything, and the impact on my children.

Looking for solutions I could put forward (we are being asked for ideas) that might work. Help!
