I have just found £200 in Argos vouchers that I forgot I had! They expire this month. Anybody idea what I can spend them on?

A watch
Bed linen
TU clothes
Crockery

Willow4987 · 05/05/2021 20:33

Literally anything, depends what you’re in to?

they sell the TU range of Sainsburys clothes on there now which is quite good if you need anything

Presents for DC/DP if you have any - any upcoming birthdays etc?

A nice treat for yourself that’s more a considered purchase? AirPods?

By a £200 gift card so you have longer to decide or buy lots of smaller values for last min gifts? X

Do you need anything for the garden?

Great idea if you can

TV, computer games, noise cancelling headphones, chrome book for kids, backup hard drive for own computer or to let you pause and rewind live TV, moderately priced smartphone, microwave, kettle, window blinds, rug, bookshelf, saucepans, school uniform, barbecue, kitchen bin, doormat. Lego for next child’s birthday.

If all else fails walk around your house and see if anything is a bit crap and needs replacing/upgrading.

Happycat1212 · 05/05/2021 20:38

Lucky for some!

clpsmum · 05/05/2021 20:39

Brilliant thank you so much for all your ideas. I just had a total blank! The gift card idea is fabulous if all else fails. Thank you all so much

@Happycat1212 I know! I think that's why I'm unsure what to buy. Things like this never happen to me! In the last year my bathroom flooded my house and the insurance wouldn't cover it and my boiler broke so I'm more used to lying out than having a little windfall!!

eternalopt · 05/05/2021 20:43

Don't think they'll let you buy a gift card with it, but the alternative is to buy something returnable with it and when you take it back, the refund will be given by way of a new gift card!!

Happycat1212 · 05/05/2021 20:46

I could definitely do with a £200 voucher, so much I would buy 😂 I think I heard they don’t let you buy gift cards with it so I think you would have to check that. New hoover?

She won’t be getting that from Argos in the near future. Everything is out of stock.
clpsmum · 05/05/2021 20:58

All the garden stuff I've tried to order is not available, same with bedroom furniture and just my luck I bought a new Hoover last week

God good luck, Argos has been out of stock of anything I want for months....

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/05/2021 21:22

Anything I've wanted from Argos recently has been out of stock.

These are some of the things I could perhaps be tempted by if I had £200 to spend there:

  • new hairdryer
  • posh new toaster
  • put it towards a Kitchen Aid
  • new bedding
  • a couple more Bluetooth speakers
  • a rug
  • nice plates/cutlery
  • a big lovely bookcase
Ilovemaisie · 05/05/2021 21:38

You won't be able to buy a gift card with a gift voucher.
I would buy Lego for me and some Nintendo Switch games for my daughter.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 05/05/2021 21:47

Yy to Lego

Fixitup2 · 05/05/2021 21:48

9ct gold cubic zirconia earrings or necklace
