Can I wear a dress?

I can't find a dress for my shape and I'm starting to think it's an impossible task! I'm short, just under 5" and very round! I'm a size 16. I'm quite apple shaped and not keen on my ankles or arms. What kind of dress could I wear?!

Skater dresses will give the illusion of a waist and balance you out. Dorothy perkins have always been good for these, but have gone a bit sketchy since boohoo takeover.
