Is it possible to get crispy roast potatoes whilst cooking in one Dutch oven

I am doing a roast chicken tonight for dinner in my Dutch oven

I am doing roast potatoes on the side but I hate washing up

Can I just cook the potatoes in the Dutch oven with the chicken or will they never crisp up because of the chicken juices?

They won't crisp in with the chicken. Where they touch the sides might get a crispy patch, but the rest won't.

Agree with PP that they won't be crisp roasties. But I bet they'd be lovely and chickeny.

If you're convinced, I'd cook it in the dutch oven, then, take the chicken out, the lid off, and whack it as hot as it goes while I carve the chicken to try and get some crisp on the spuds.
