Is there a weird (non Covid) viral infection doing the rounds? DS getting recurrent low grade fever every afternoon!

Just that really. I’ve got a GP appointment tomorrow, have spoken to GP twice over the last few weeks, but I wondered if anyone has experienced the same?

Every day usually about 1 or 2 17 month old DS starts running a bit warmer. I check his temp as he looks flushed and he’s 37.8, sometimes 37.9 or 38. Doesn’t go higher than that.

But he’s fine. Absolutely fine. Eating, sleeping, playing, alert, chatty. If it wasn’t for him feeling hot and checking the numbers, I wouldn’t think there was anything wrong with him.

I should say he recently had a chest X-ray, bloods and his ears checked for something separate and all came back clear. Also had a Covid test.

Anyone else had the same? He does have some lower teeth coming through (got the grim nappies and nappy rash too) but I didn’t think that would be the culprit as the GP says teething doesn’t cause a fever.

Help! My health anxiety is going through the roof even though I know it’s really only just a fever not a sky high one, and half the time it’s not even technically a fever.
