I’m sure there are many I can think of but the one I’m thinking of right now

Something that can dry AND style your hair instantly

Like you get out of the shower, put this thing on, select the style you would like your hair, and it would dry and style it for you

I'm going big with instant transport like teleportation.

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 10:03

Yes! Would save so much time

A self cleaning house. The whole house.

And something to wash, dry, fold and put away clothes.

romdowa · 05/05/2021 10:05

Teleportation and the ability to plug the human body into a computer for diagnostics like you do a car 😂😂

FizzyPink · 05/05/2021 10:08

For your phone and laptop to be able to type what you want to say through you thinking it.
A lot of the time I know exactly what I want to say in an email but typing it all out is so tedious

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 10:10

You can get voice to message tech already

So you speak it out and the computer will type it. Though perhaps it would be even easier if it was thought to text

An Off button for DC Grin

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 10:14
Grin

I would love it if there was something that translated pet or baby/toddler sounds into actual words so we know exactly what they want. And then get them to shut up cos we figured it out

Something that can dry AND style your hair instantly
Dyson Airwrap can do it "almost" instantly Grin

I would love the tech to get to places without taking an airplane. You decide you want to go somewhere and just be there in an instant! A bit scared about teleportation though (what if it changes my body particles?) but don't mind superfast tunnel-based transport modes.

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 10:19

Yeah the dyson can dry but it can’t style

So I can’t have a french plait (cos no matter how much I try, I can’t seem to get the hang of it). With this tech, I could drench plait my hair no problem!

Something that could tidy up after my kids! Wouldn’t that be fab?

Some kind of laundry machine where you throw the dirty laundry in and close the lid and it sorts, washes, dries and folds/puts hangers on laundry.

A mobile phone where the battery lasts a minimum of 1 week with high usage

HD quality CCTV cameras in public places, I mean come on why do they still have awful quality cameras in shopping centres?

Eco friendly solar/wind powered street lights in especially dark roads

Glasses that adjust to your own prescription based on technology and if your eye sight deteriorates, it notifies you and your optician

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 14:12

Ooo something that cooks your food automatically

So it come in like a packet, say roast dinner, you pop it into a machine, press a button and hey presto. A nice fresh hot roast dinner

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 05/05/2021 14:13

Or, like the food replicators they have on Star Trek where you just tell it what you want and it makes it to perfectionist

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 14:15

Yes. No more prep. No more dirty pans. No more waiting for things to cook

It’s just there

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 05/05/2021 14:17

And everyone could have something different

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 14:20

No more worries about picky eaters because it could be done just like that.

Alright you billionaires who lurk on here. Contact someone and get inventing. I want this

You specify your make up look for lips/eyes/blush/foundation (or provide photo), it is turned into featherweight sheets which you position on your eyes, lips etc. You then you give it a tepid blast with a hair dryer and it applies to your face like a lightweight transfer. It can be made to provide everything from very light to full coverage.

You can tell I've given this a lot of thought and also that I get bored putting make-up on.

Mybigbed · 05/05/2021 14:26

Definitely some form of teleporting

Sun cream that comes in the form of a tablet or vaccine and preferably lasts a whole season

A way of eating delicious food that bypassed the stomach 😂

SoupDragon · 05/05/2021 14:30

I've often thought that about sun protection! Hair dye too - that would be great.

Chatanooga1 · 05/05/2021 14:30

Definitely an animal communicator where you can understand them and they you!

Imagine being able to talk to your dog, cat or horse or walk past a field of cows and they call out good morning?!

Or speak to that horrible big spider and explain he/she can leave your house and never come back or they are going to be vacuumed up!

You could sit on a bench and hear the life story of a pigeon or listen to a butterfly cracking jokes!

What a wonderful world that would be!

Rollercoaster1920 · 05/05/2021 14:31

A device that can can magically create peace and quiet. Noise cancelling headphones try, but they aren't there yet.

Soubriquet · 05/05/2021 14:33

Oooo a sun cream tablet or something to easily dye hair would be a fab idea!

Definitely all of these! Plus the automatic hairstyler thing mentioned above.

I'd also add in a dust and dog hair management system that clears dust/hairs from all surfaces (even sofas) as they land.

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 05/05/2021 14:39

A flying bike (like in E.T.)..
no more traffic fumes & near misses with cars.
