Online learning - free or cheap courses - history etc

Hi
Does anyone know of any free or cheap courses on European history I could do - I have an interest in general 16th century European history-ish (Habsburg empire especially) and in the Balkans.

I’ve seen a few on the uni of Oxford site but I’m thinking that might be jumping in at the deep end

I’d prefer it to be in my own time with quiz type answers or short form, no long essays (more than 1000 words) for now, as I write a lot with work and don’t want to feel burnt out

It’s for fun really

Great Courses Plus sponsor some of the podcasts that I listen to. They seem to have a huge variety of courses and I think you can get a free trial.

The OU have free courses at different levels.

Thanks so much everyone !!! I’ve signed up to one on futurelearn but there is no start date and they will just email when it’s starting so I assume if they don’t have the numbers they won’t bother ?
