Ds2 is involved in a BBC sign language video in conjunction with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra to promote Deaf Awareness Week. Here
He was also included in the clip shown on the One Show tonight.. I'm so proud I could burst!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

That’s fantastic! You’ve every right to be very proud! My eldest is profoundly deaf (she doesn’t sign though), and I’ve noticed the bbc seem to be doing a lot more for deaf awareness week this year than in previous.

He sent me the link this afternoon. I love the way they have changed some of the words from sing to sign.... ☺ ☺ ☺

Proud Mum to a deaf four year old here. Loving that deaf awareness week is being brought to the masses more at the moment.

He's fluent in BSL and Makaton. He's passed all 4 Makaton Stages during lockdown and is studying for his BSL Stage 2 exam at the moment. His teacher is used by the BBC a lot to sign the Government briefings.
It's a great annoyance to me that the English Government won't have a signer in the room for their briefings when Scotland and Wales do.
Even less of an excuse now they have a bigger briefing room...
