Looking for ideas. I think I'm after elegant gold sandals for my summer wedding.

I wore some silver ballet flats I already had, they were pretty and comfy and I wanted to dance! It’s your wedding, please yourself Smile

Outbutnotoutout · 03/05/2021 22:13

I'm looking at white converse boots

Iggly · 03/05/2021 22:14

It’s your wedding! Wear what you want.

I wore satin comfy flats.

I wore white converse with trim to match my bridesmaids and ‘Mrs T’ monogrammed on the side. They weren’t really visible under my gown but they were so comfortable and made me smile a lot.

welshweasel · 03/05/2021 22:19

I had blue sequinned flats.

SexyGiraffe · 03/05/2021 22:26

I wore shoes from the Irregular Choice wedding selection for the ceremony and photos and changed into gold ballet flats to dance.

Onlinedilema · 03/05/2021 22:28

I wore flat silver sandals

OutspokenNotThatFunny · 03/05/2021 22:31

I did. And I'd got a dress in Debenhams. Didn't want white or traditional.
Was just like a long occasion dress.. Loved it. But the color I was finding difficult to get shoes to match. Thought I'd end up with white. Looked everywhere online and the city.
Then one day I went in shoe zone to get dd some slippers for nurseryl ( no shoe policy indoors) and I walked through and there were these sandals. Tried on and teh were so comfy. Ans the color was an almost exact match. 13.99. Couldn't belive it..

Wear what makes you feel good and is comfortable.

I had sky high navy stilettos then almost matching pretty navy flats for later. Adored them both.

Beelzebop · 03/05/2021 22:35

This your chance to wear what you want. Especially if you have a big frock. I wore new shoes ( ouch). Docs, trainers, whatever. The last thing you want is sore feet though!

Ughmaybenot · 03/05/2021 22:35

White flats... then my trusty fatface flip flops... then bare feet. It was perfect, all I wanted was to be comfortable and dance the night away... and I did!

webuiltthiscityonrockandwheat · 03/05/2021 22:35

I wore white Toms and then changed into yellow wellies for the reception. I was going to be uncomfortable on my wedding day!

MeadowHay · 03/05/2021 22:37

I wore sparkly flats. I bought them in the sale in Office approx 15 mins before my first wedding dress fitting was about to begin so couldn't afford to be too choosy (and was a student at the time so on a tight budget). I wouldnt have been comfy in heels all day. You couldn't see my shoes under my huge dress anyway really.

mrstea301 · 03/05/2021 22:40

I had high heeled platform peeptoe shoes, but purposely bought them for the ceremony/ photos, and had flip flops for afterwards. I wanted big high heels as my DH is a foot taller than me, but knew i would last in them the whole day/night!

Rhannion · 03/05/2021 22:43

Wear what ever makes you comfortable. I wore Edwardian style antique gold coloured boots.

White and gold DMs - it really is up to you!

Postern · 04/05/2021 00:31

Biker boots.

CaroleFuckingBaskin · 04/05/2021 00:32

Silk flats

Ethelswith · 04/05/2021 00:35

Gold flats - I wanted to be comfy

PferdeMerde · 04/05/2021 00:35

I wore white ballet shoes I got in a dance shop

BookShark · 04/05/2021 00:45

Cheap heels for the church bit - I think they were £15 in a closing down sale. Kicked them off as soon as we got to the reception as we were by a beach so I went barefoot for the photos, then stayed that way and didn't see the shoes again until the next morning.

Wear what you want - with a long dress nobody will see and they probably wouldn't care anyway!
