Shocking weather so we didn’t go anywhere sadly but it’s been productive as DM would say. We spent some time with our new bunny which was lovely. He’s such an affectionate little thing. I went to Asda for a top up shop & was happy with the strawberry & watermelon loo rolls. Yes I need to get out more lol 🤣🤣🤣 Had a nice lunch which included yummy cheese coleslaw then got stuck in to sorting out my wardrobe, bags of DD’s stuff that had been dumped in our room, piles of clothes & some bedding. Extremely satisfying & the charity shop will do well. Loads more to do all over the house. Now eating pepperoni pizza whilst watching Corrie 🍕🍕🍕

Sounds like a lovely day OP! We had sunshine ☀️ here so after a lazy morning I met some friends for lunch by the sea, then home as it started to cloud over to lie on the couch with DP, drink tea, eat pizza and binge watch crappy TV.

Dowser19 · 03/05/2021 21:13

We’ve literally had 8 hours of torrential rain
Stopped about 7 pm
( gee thanks)

I thought it was countrywide

Bluntness100 · 03/05/2021 21:15

Spent most of the day in the garden till about 3 pm, then it started getting windy so came in and sofa surfed. Bloody miserable out there now.

Flappityflippers1 · 03/05/2021 21:18

Spent the day playing tag team with DH to cope with the whingey angry newborn who won’t stop screaming. Did make some Welsh cakes with eldest DS while the baby had a nap in the sling, then we ate the lot for lunch 😳

DinosaurDiana · 03/05/2021 21:19

I cleaned the downstairs. Back to work tomorrow for a rest !

niceupthedance · 03/05/2021 21:20

Went to the garden centre then did some weeding and planting before the rain started. Watched a film with DS .

Theimpossiblegirl · 03/05/2021 21:31

Long dog walk, nap and a roast. A day well spent.

lovelyupnorth · 03/05/2021 21:32

Great we did bugger all and Celebrated DD's.birthday.

PussInBin20 · 03/05/2021 21:37

I went shopping for a skateboard and spent the afternoon at the skatepark with my DD. She is a complete beginner and it was bloody freezing. Couldn’t wait to get home!

Babdoc · 03/05/2021 21:39

Not the best. Alone at home. Torrential rain and gales, an elderly friend’s wife died suddenly and another friend had to put her dog to sleep.

Woodlandbelle · 03/05/2021 21:44

Rain was constant so dh went out and planted shrubs Confused in the rain. I cooked a roast. Sorted washing and boring stuff. House is lovely though. Watching a good film now with candles lit and a Wine

LadyCatStark · 03/05/2021 21:45

It was awful. It’s rained so heavily all day. DH wanted to go for a walk anyway so we put on our waterproofs and went but the wind and rain as we got to the beach was horrendous, it felt like being stabbed with needles on my face and I couldn’t look up to see where I was going.

We finally got home and peeled off our waterproofs and started making tea only to see that the rain and wind had stopped and the sun had come out!

It’s raining again now though.

user1471538283 · 03/05/2021 21:46

We sat outside a restaurant under sun awnings for lunch. It was a bit wet and cold! A little shopping then take away for tea. I've been cold for hours and although we've done really nice things it has felt like a strange day.

Megan2018 · 03/05/2021 21:46

Stressful and expensive.
DD needed a Covid test Sunday so was anxiously waiting the result. Then went to view my old house that I rent out, it’s 1.5hrs away from where I live now.
Tenant has fucked it. Whole house needs redecorating and new carpets. I cried.

DH was working so it was just me and toddler DD. Only saving grace was I got to pop in on my family on the way home. Going to need a Dad loan to get the work done as the deposit won’t touch it thanks to the new rules (even if we get to keep it all). It’s going to need about £3k minimum plus the lost rent on top. I’m just glad we hadn’t got a new tenant lined up as don’t usually have a gap.
Not all landlords are greedy bastards, I’m bloody lovely and my house was too.

user1471538283 · 03/05/2021 21:49

@Megan2018 - that is awful! I cant understand people like that.

Serena1977 · 03/05/2021 22:10

Saw my nephew for the first time in a long time. He is 20. My brother and sil separated when he was 10 and because my brother is a rubbish Dad, I havent seen my nephew very much in those 10 years. I was glad to see him but so sad that it was a bit uncomfortable between us with not a lot in common to talk about. We were so close when he was a kid. My brother pays above his dues to exsil but that is all he does and sadly because the split was acrimonious exsil and her family won't have anything to do with me, dm etc😢

Then I went to the churchyard to put some flowers for df and a mole has wreaked havoc so I sorted that😢

Got home then dh left for work and since then had a relaxing time playing with dcs. Colouring, genius square, jigsaws etc
Now watching snooker while waiting for dh to finish work.

ChocOrange1 · 03/05/2021 22:14

We were supposed to go camping this weekend but called it off because of the weather. Went for a roast at mums today which was nice but we do it every week so not really a novelty- except usually its on Sunday

In a holiday home near Pwhelli and same. It's the first time we've been away for more than a couple of nights since the kids were born so we're not complaining. We have a woodburner, roast chicken earlier and plenty of tea

(The kids are 20 and 18 years old)

TechnoDino · 03/05/2021 22:14

Cold, wet and painful Angry

TokyoSushi · 03/05/2021 22:16

Torrential rain, new trainers and my Covid vaccine!

SoMuchToBits · 03/05/2021 22:17

Been at work for 12.5 hour shift. Was ok, not too bad. Came home on bus as was starting to rain. Now very wet and windy, but am warm and dry in house.

Anjo2011 · 03/05/2021 22:19

It’s felt a bit like the lull between Christmas and New Year. I’ve snacked a lot, had the heating on too high for May and been fairly lazy. It’s really cold wet and windy.

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 03/05/2021 22:19

I cleaned the house whilst DH took the kids to the tack shop to kit out DD for her riding lessons. We played board games in the afternoon, chilled on our devices then I went to a dance class. DH cooked a roast. Watched episode 1 of the Queen's Gambit. Good day all in all.

CorianderBee · 03/05/2021 23:10

Rubbish tbh, DPs chronic condition flared up so I just cleaned most of the day, had some nice food but then got severe cramps. We looked rather decrepit together
