What should I watch next on Netflix?

I have just finished How I Met Your Mother, which I loved (although not a huge fan of the ending!) and before that I watched The Big Bang Theory, which I also really enjoyed (but not as much as HIMYM).

So, does anyone have any recommendations of what else I might like, based on those? I guess I'm looking for funny, not too serious, easy to watch, nothing violent, dark or scary (and nothing too intense/suspenseful - is that a word? - in any way that I'll go to bed thinking about it and not be able to sleep!).

Breaking Bad?? That's not very chilled, lighthearted and easy to watch I don't think 😂

Okay, I think this is my list to try:

Gilmore Girls
Schitt's Creek
Modern Family
Superstore
The Good Place

Are all of those complete? I don't really want to watch something and then have to wait for later seasons.

Bridgerton is another one I've half watched with my mum - she went on a bit on a Netflix binge when she had Covid and watched Bridgerton, Virgin River, The Queen's Gambit and a few weird thriller type things I didn't like.

Any thoughts on Friends? I've never seen it, except I watched the first episode when I was last looking for something new. It wasn't bad, but it didn't grab me like HIMYM. Worth persevering with?

Gilmore girls, Schitt’s creek and The Good Place are complete. Superstore I’m not sure if they’ll make more..it’s not a big cliff hanger though. There’s about 5 seasons so plenty to watch.

I loved Friends when it came out. It has aged and some of the jokes would never be allowed now....the ending was quite controversial as well!

IMHO Friends is one of the best sitcoms ever - much funnier than Big Bang Theory, HIMYM and many other series mentioned here. I would definitely recommend if you haven't seen it. Yes it's quite politically incorrect/sexist in places but Barney Stinson & Howard Wolowitz are hardly sensitive new age model men 😆

I know that Superstore isn’t complete, it finishes at S5. I absolutely love HIMYM and Friends, I have the boxsets here and have watched them over a few times. Friends gets better after a few episodes. I tried Schitts Creek as I heard people raving. It was one of those shows I thought would get better, I found I hated it and all the characters irritated me as it went on.
