Things you have MN to thank for?

I know a lot of the threads on here are lighthearted, but there are also many that help people in all manner of ways with advice, experience etc.

For me personally, there was a post near the start of the year by someone who talked about how looking after their mental health and getting support and the right medication changed their life. So many others came on to say similar and it was the push I needed to contact my own gp about my mental health. I would never have done it if it hadn’t
been for MN and I wanted to say thank you to all who contributed to that thread, it’s had a hugely positive impact on me and many others too I’m sure.

What threads on MN have impacted you in a similar way?

The term "flying monkeys" . Had never heard that before MN. When i read various threads and understood what it meant, it described my auntie ( mums sister ) to a T! Was very liberating.

I am going to look that one up as not heard it either!

TwitterQueen for sharing her diagnosis of ovarian cancer. I had absolutely no idea about the symptoms and wrongly assumed that this would be identified via a smear test. I think of her often and consider her a true hero to the women on here.

Experiencing the best of humanity and the kindest people and also learning resilience to the utter dregs of human beings who attack and pile in and are just so sick and toxic. The lovelies make up for them though.

The amazing support that I received when I was struggling to breastfeed DS1, I don't think that I would have carried on if it wasn't for the support and tips I was given. I will always be grateful.
