What’s Your Skincare Routine?

I’m 55 & own loads of products but have no routine at all! I don’t currently wear make up because of masks so don’t need to worry about removing that. What does everyone do regularly?

32, dehydrated, acne prone skin and starting to see a few fine lines;

AM: Cleanse, acid, vitamin c, mist, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, moisturise, spf

PM: Double cleanse, retinol, mist, Hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide, moisture

Are there any particular skin concerns you have?

CurryLover55 · 03/05/2021 13:53

I have quite sensitive skin & can be prone to spots but mainly from wearing masks. I’m going through the menopause which can affect my skin adversely too. I have quite good genes so not very many wrinkles yet, although I am definitely showing my age round my eyes.

Morning... rinse face with warm water.

That's it. No soap, no products, no make up. Do nothing in evenings.

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 03/05/2021 17:15

On days when I have a shower I moisturise my face afterwards because it feels dry.

BetterKateThanNever · 03/05/2021 17:21

Wash my face with warm water, then moisturise. Cleansing, toning and face washes don't work for me. I use a light moisturiser in the day with SPF and medium-heavy moisturiser before bed.

If you're going to use lots of products make sure they actually do the right thing for your skin. Lots of skincare specialists say vitamin C does nothing in skincare and eye creams are no different than moisturiser. Just don't use fragranced products as they might irritate your skin. Try to use products consistently to see if they work. Keep your routine simple so you're more likely to do this

Morning: Wash face, hyaluronic, SPF.

Evening: Double cleanse, serum, night moisturiser.

Acid exfoliate twice a week and mask once a week.

Girlintheframe · 03/05/2021 17:27

Morning / cream cleanser, nicinamide on my chin (where I get spots), moisturizer, spf

Evening - oil cleanser, cerave hydrating cleanser, retinol, moisturizer.

Exfoliate once a week.
Sometime use oil on top of evening moisturizer depending on how my skin feels.

Late 40s with mainly dry skin but now a spotty chin sometimes thanks to masks.

AM Cleanse, tone, serum, spot treatment Hmm, moisturise, sunscreen

PM same routine except instead of sunscreen I spray utan tanning water over my face instead

MikeWozniaksGloriousTache · 03/05/2021 17:38

Wash face with soap when showering. Moisturise with some day cream from Aldi with an spf in. Occasionally exfoliate when I can be bothered

Thomasina2021 · 04/05/2021 21:09

Morning - put face under warm shower then splash with cold a few times

I love lacura spf from Aldi so put that one face, eyes and neck, then make up

Then factor 50 on chest cos I have noticed al getting a bit ruddy there lately

Evening I usually wash my face with a bodyshop foaming cleanser, I like their carrot range . Exfoliate couple or times a week.

Then I do a face massage with almond oil following Abigail James on YouTube (I do thiis 3 times a week but avoid my forehead area where I have Botox )

Then I put on nivea night moisturiser or weleda skin food and on eyes and chest

I also drink tons of water ,walk, resistance , run couple of times a week, eat keto and don’t drink alcohol. Oh and also am asleep by 10 at latest usually
