I have 11 year old twins, at secondary so tough and trying to be older then they are.
I love it when they forget and call me mummy and want hugs. I can't tell them because they will relealise they are doing it and stop.
What do you secretly love.

When I arrive early at work and see the lights are off which means no one else is there yet. I love having a few minutes of peace before it all kicks off.

Making packed lunch for the dc.
I moan "oh, time to do the sandwiches" but secretly love itConfused
When my partner is working nightshift and it's just kids and I in the house. Somehow feels peaceful and like how life should be - which I find also a bit sadSad

Nose picking and getting the dead skin of my feet especially between my toes. Fresh bed linen. Actually being in bed under the weight of the duvet. Fussing a cat and hearing them purr. Taskmaster. Diamond art. A good cup of tea and a packet of nice biscuits. Cake. Fruit. Being warm and clean. Oil of Olay moisturiser.

Oh, another one. I love Highlighter pens. Lists, statements all colour coded and higlighted

Listening to my children conspire and be naughty together. They are a team and none too smart as they seem to think the walls are sound proof " put YouTube on and I'll keep watch!" Or one memorable one-

Child A- "Oh no! I've drawn on the cushion!"
Child b- " Mam will go mad. I know! If we turn it around she won't know!"
Child A - " ill put the pens always- you keep watch"

Having enough money to spend what I want and things like the dc's teeth, driving lessons, gap years, etc, simply not being an issue.

That lockdown has meant my youngest decided to stay home this year and not move into uni halls so I got to have him around for another year. Sad that he didn't get the full uni experience tho, I'd have loved for him to get that, but I'll never take for granted that extra time i got with him 🥰

Biscoff crunchy spread and a spoon.
Häagen-Dazs Salted caramel ice cream and a spoon.
Lemon yoghurt large pot and a spoon.

Hmm, a theme here I think....

Eating out of a Nutella jar with my finger - taking a big scoop and just shoving it in my gob.

Stressedtoddlermum · 03/05/2021 13:29

Sniffing washing powder. I’m pregnant at the moment and it really is so hard to not do it.

bellropes · 03/05/2021 13:43

Getting up really early and sitting in the garden with a coffee, listening to the skylark singing in the nearby fields.

Irishterrier · 03/05/2021 15:18

Sniffing my dog's left ear

LaBellina · 03/05/2021 15:20

Rainy nights.
DS shouting mummy mummy when he wakes up in the morning.
The cat only wanting to sit on my lap.

StarlightLady · 03/05/2021 16:01

Early morning coffee on a summer’s day, naked, in the secret spot in my garden.

HowToBringABlushToTheSnow · 03/05/2021 17:03

When my dogs bark and whine when I walk away from them when we're out (like when we're at the pub and I leave the table to go to the loo)
