Has anyone else not seen their teen yet this weekend?

15 yr old DS has stayed in his room gaming since Friday Eve except for one family meal last night. Invited to join us for a couple of trips out but declined. Off to see his friends tomorrow. Normal behavior???? Should I have stricter boundaries in place regarding his involvement in family life??

Normal
I hardly spent any time with my parents except occasionally. Always in my room or out with friends.

I did go on the odd trip out with them.

He's had one family meal with you and he's off out to see friends tomorrow, its not like he's stuck in gaming and refusing to come out at all.

I think this is the age where they start to find thier own interests and independence.

I've 2 older dc both left home now and they were the same, they've turned out fine

From 14 I barely saw my eldest. School workload was high, she had lots of band commitments, and she loved sleep. I see a bit more of her now, at 18, but it varies according to her college workload.

Finding time to eat together is usually the best time for us to human at each other. I’ll often feed her younger brothers dinner before she gets home from college, and we’ll eat together later in the evening.

Depends on what you're doing TBH.

DS is 15 in 2 weeks, we do things that enjoys doing.
