Awkward situation re dog shit! :-/

So I've just realised I've got yet another dog shit in my front garden.....
My CCTV history shoes that it's my neighbours dog.
The thing is, he's a lovely dog and I get along well with my neighbours.
I've sent a message asking them to clear it up, but am worried this may provoke a fall-out.

Moving forward, can you consider making your garden inaccessible?

i wouldn’t worry about it. their fault their problem they should be the ones feeling awkward not you

If it does make it uncomfortable that's on them. Any normal and sane person would apologise and clear it up.

Now you've mentioned it, hopefully they'll keep a closer eye on the dog in future. It shouldn't be wandering around without a lead and going into people's gardens.

Our neighbour’s dog always used to do this! I asked him to keep it off our drive, he hadn’t realised because it would go behind the car, no hard feelings.

They took it well and apologised.
They are out, but will sort it when they get back.
