Quick question about baby in own room

My 10 mo has, at long last we think, come through the other side of the 8/9 month sleep regression. (Fingers crossed!) we have had 3 consecutive nights of sleeping through / or one tiny wake up. Hurrah! For the last 6 weeks it's been a wake up every 30 minutes! Baby still sleeps in our room due to lack of space.

Anyway, we were planning on moving baby to their own room due to DH going back to working at his office, meaning we now have space for this. So QUESTION: do we wait to move baby to own room for a bit, to get them settled back into sleeping through in our room first? Or do we capitalise on this sleep improvement and move baby now?

The last thing I want to do is trigger another sleep regression!

I'd move! We moved at 10 months and it took no time at all to settle. The thought was more worrying than the reality!

Good Luck ☺️

Personally I would wait at least a few weeks to see if his sleep continues this well, as it may not. My DD was/is a decent sleeper but until she was about 13 months old she would have a random week or so where she'd wake very very frequently. Then be better for a few weeks then it would happen again and so on. We didn't move her into her own room until she was 16m as she had a few months of not doing that as we didn't want to be going in and out constantly one week in six or whatever. I understand that wouldn't be a problem for many people though. It's up to you. With sleep changes I have always done one change at a time to try and limit disruption with a good time period in between each change. It's worked well but could be coincidence of course.

I’d move baby now and possibly sleep in the baby’s room for a night or two (even if just on a camp bed type of thing).
