I can’t stand sweet popcorn

Salt all the way for me

Prefer sweet popcorn.

TinySongstress · 02/05/2021 06:15

Last Christmas I found a Gingerbread Popcorn.

Food of the Gods.

KatherineJaneway · 02/05/2021 06:18

Cheese and cracked black pepper

longwayoff · 02/05/2021 06:23

I had a marmalade popcorn from a Borough Market seller. It was delicious but absurdly overpriced, however, that's probably a good thing otherwise I would definitely buy more of it.

Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn Popcorn - Wasabi Glaze

Joe & Seph's Cheddar Cheese & Smoked Paprika, Cheddar Cheese & Onion or MAture Cheddar Cheese Gourmet Popcorn

The Joe & Seph's stuff is wildly expensive.

Tesco used to do a series of own brand savoury popcorns and the tangy tomato was my favourite.

Soubriquet · 02/05/2021 06:32

Well this shows I’m naive in the world of food Grin

I thought there was sweet, salt, toffee and caramel. That’s it

If it's regular cinema popcorn I prefer salt, also if I make it at home. But I am also partial to Butterkist. Not a fan of the fancy flavours, DH buys them occasionally. Salted caramel flavour was completely inedible.

Weenurse · 02/05/2021 06:58

There is a company called crackle corn here in Australia, they have a variety of flavours.
I love the gingerbread and the peanut butter. They also do a rosemary that is nice.

zzizzer · 02/05/2021 07:01

I don't like sweet or salted on their own. I love Butterkist's sweet and salted though! Has to be eaten fast, still hot from the microwave, with undignified abandon Grin

Wheesplat · 02/05/2021 07:02

I like to buy sweet and salty mixes. Can’t be doing with fancy flavours.

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 02/05/2021 07:05

There was a company called Portlebay and they did bacon and maple syrup popcorn. It was delicious! Gutted that they don't seem to sell it anymore.

topandtailem · 02/05/2021 07:05

Butterkist used to do a chilli and lime popcorn that was incredible

AgnesNaismith · 02/05/2021 07:06

Hot butter salt and sugar

OinkBalloon · 02/05/2021 12:25

Nothing fancy is needed. Just sugar and salt mixed, with butter.

Though toffee is good (especially with salt!), as is smoked paprika with garlic and honey.

But for simple, delicious, pleasure, nothing beats sugar and salt mixed, with butter.

Cocolapew · 02/05/2021 12:27

Never salt.
Tesco used to do a chocolate and orange one, it was lovely.

Susie477 · 02/05/2021 12:30

I’m not a big fan of popcorn, but if I did have some it would be salted every time.

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 02/05/2021 14:10

Sweet and salty together.

Ninkanink · 02/05/2021 14:11

Popped fresh at home in a good layer of oil. Plenty of salt.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 02/05/2021 14:13

I like all popcorn Grin

Sweet and salty together.. lovely cheap caramel popcorn, sweet flavoured popcorn, savoury flavoured popcorn.

I've never really thought about it but I apparently really like popcorn.

CassandraCross · 02/05/2021 14:15

@TinySongstress

Last Christmas I found a Gingerbread Popcorn.

Food of the Gods.

I had a bag of McKays (I think) Gingerbread popcorn at Christmas and it was divine.
Redskyyy · 02/05/2021 14:15

Have you tried Joe and Seph’s? I stock it as a product for my online business and people love it. I’m eating some gingerbread popcorn right now (left over xmas stock...oops!!)

AlwaysLatte · 02/05/2021 14:16

I don't really like sweet or salty popcorn much but weirdly it's ok when they're mixed together!

IHaveBrilloHair · 02/05/2021 14:16

None, because I always choke on it.

AmbientLighting · 02/05/2021 14:17

I tried one of the Joe & Sephs in a Christmas hamper. Cant remember which one it was hit it was nice.

I've had cheese popcorn abroad before. Tasted like cheese puffs.

I buy sweet popcorn or sweet & salted. I do like toffee popcorn but it's not something I buy.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 02/05/2021 14:18

M&S did a white chocolate and freeze dried raspberry one which was great.
