First time looking after baby alone...

... and it just happens to be the first time he has done a proper vomit all over the cot, sleeping bag, cuddly toys, everything.

I have looked after DS (14mo) alone before, of course, but due to lockdown this is the first time DP has been properly “out out” for the duration of the evening, with friends. I’d just settled down with Netflix, dessert and a cuppa after a lovely dinner, when I heard the cough, splutter and cry from the baby monitor. Cleaned him up and he’s now asleep on the sofa and I have just about calmed down, although my plans for a relaxing bath might have to wait until I’ve sorted the soiled cot bedding out 😂

Typical! And it’s always happens when it’s the mums turn 🙈😂
Keep an eye and a nasty D&V bug going round, my LO is currently ill with it. I’m washing bedding everyday 😩

Oh no, that sounds bad @Sunny1112 Sad I am fairly sure it’s not a bug, but hadn’t even thought about the implications for nursery and maybe having to keep him off on Monday.

I do feel a bit aggrieved because I’ve been out in the evenings quite a few times last summer, and away overnight for work once, and DP’s never had a stressful time of it!
