I'm English. I have no personal connection to Scotland and no opinion on independence either way. But....It's been in the news a lot lately that Nicola Sturgeon can't/won't be drawn on whether there will be a hard border between England and Scotland in the event of independence.
How can it ever work without a border, given that she aspires to take Scotland back into the EU and that is one of the main issues on which future independence hinges? Surely the EU won't accept a Scotland that has no border with England?
