Weekend Plans?

The Bank Holiday has really sneaked up on me! I always feel like I should be going somewhere or doing something more exciting than I actually am but it’s so difficult to get DD12 to do anything. DH & I are off Sun/Mon ( unless I decide I want to do overtime on Monday) so hopefully we will at least leave the house! Might do our first BBQ of the year tomorrow. Just bought a beef joint for Sunday. We are looking for a buck to pair with our lovely doe since losing our beautiful boy on Sunday. Let down by the RSPCA who led us to believe that a lovely bunny was available & asked for lots of info, pics of the hutch etc but then when we rang up we were told he was reserved by someone else 😢Really disappointing.
Had a good day today as caught up with close friends that I haven’t seen since December. Hot chocolate in glorious sunshine then some retail therapy. There’s a wonderful shop in the harbour village near us where I could buy every single thing they sell! Just so nice to have a break & wander around at our leisure.

We joined the National Trust a couple of weeks ago so we have booked a timed entry for a park tomorrow afternoon which will be good for the kids to burn off some energy and collect some sticks.

On Monday I am taking my youngest to toddler group as we have already paid for it and he needs to socialise with other 2 year olds. Food shopping is being delivered this weekend with lots of nice meat so we will cook two roast dinners this weekend. On Sunday it will be a trip to Costa or the local ice cream parlour.

Am I allowed to say nothing?

The kids are going cycling at the new track which has just opened tomorrow morning and I am hoping for a walk in the bluebell wood tomorrow afternoon, weather permitting. The 13 year old has grudgingly said he will come, the 11 year old is quite happy to come. Sunday I have to work (from home) sadly but the kids will be overjoyed to get a day of screen time. Monday we have booked tickets to a local stately home which has May Day celebrations but the weather looks rubbish, I hope we can get a few hours in at least before it chucks it down.

I will wonder to Lidl for the weekly shop tomorrow. DH at work, dc3 wants to go to the park on with her friends. Other dc will most likely just want to play minecraft/roblox etc!! If the weather stays nice we will go to the liocal car boot on Monday. It's huge, cheap and the kids enjoy it. No ideas for Sunday yet...

Shopping tomorrow and then maybe a walk to the park.

Baking with DS on Sunday and a roast for lunch

Long walk on Monday and a trip to the local pub.

Half of that won't end up happening but we have a ridiculous few weeks coming up so it will be nice to just chill.

mamaduckbone · 30/04/2021 20:04

We've got rugby with the dcs on Sunday and I'm ridiculously excited that we're going SHOPPING in a CITY on Monday. The ds are desperate for summer clothes (as in we realised ds2 doesn't have a single pair of shorts) and I'm determined to treat myself to something, although that inevitably means I won't find anything I want.
Tomorrow is deliberately empty - Dh will do the food shop in the morning, the dcs both have plans with friends, Dh and I will probably go for a wander in the afternoon and I'll go and see my mum at some point.

Going to visit DD tomorrow to practise icing my wedding cake and she' s going to have a go at curling my hair. Nothing planned for the rest of the weekend so we will play that by ear, a lot will depend will depend on how fosterling no.3 and DP are feeling.

I’m meeting a friend for a walk at 8am tomorrow, then we’ve got other friends and their 3yo round for lunch. After that, a family swim and a takeaway.

Sunday- pot roast venison for lunch. I’m doing the early swim at the lido. Nothing else planned.

Monday we’re going to visit friends.

I’ve got to fit in some overtime. DS has homework.

I am working 13hr shifts tomorrow and Monday. My mother is coming on Sunday to visit, not sure how that is going to work as rain is forecast but she needs to bring DC1's birthday present. DC2, who is in year 1, told me her homework this weekend is to make a wormery. I am not sure if this is true or where I am going to fit that in. DH will do the weekly food shop on Sunday and go and do one of his hobbies.
