Iridescent?

DrMadelineMaxwell · 29/04/2021 21:28

I was going to go with iridescent too.

Chrysanthemum5 · 29/04/2021 21:28

Aurora borealis

Geepee71 · 29/04/2021 21:28

I would have suggested opaque

Thesearmsofmine · 29/04/2021 21:29

Opalescent

Billandben444 · 29/04/2021 21:29

FlibbertyGiblets · 29/04/2021 21:29

pearlescent. Iridescent is more blue green than white.

themalamander · 29/04/2021 21:41

Aurora borealis isnt a name of a colour. it's the name of the northern lights.

Chrysanthemum5 · 29/04/2021 21:42

@themalamander yes it is the northern lights but it's also a term used for crystals etc (yes I've watched some QVC in my time 😂)

JetBlackSteed · 29/04/2021 21:42

But the Aurora isn't a colour 🤷‍♀️

Woodspritely · 29/04/2021 21:45

This is what I thought too. Googled it and can’t see a reference to anything except the northern lights.
StillWeRise · 29/04/2021 21:46

if it's a term used for crystals it's being misused
aurora borealis and aurora australis

themalamander · 29/04/2021 22:00

I guess I'm just a bit surprised that someone who couldnt remember the name would ask what the name of those crappy coated crystals are rather than asking what the northern lights are called. It suggests that they didnt ever know that the coating on those things is named after a natural phenomenon. Surely everyone knows the northern lights.

You know, when you've grow up a bit/had a coffee/whatever, you're going to cringe at what a wanker you sound there. The OP was just asking for us to fill in a mental block she had about a phrase.

Does Cussons Pearl soap still come in a box like that?
