Quiche hot or cold?

Simple question if you have quiche for dinner, do you heat it up or eat it cold? I heat mine but my mum only ever eats it cold.

Disclaimer: against MN rules I had it with oven chips (double carb horror) and it was shop bought (from Lidl if anyone cares) and delicious.

Both

Evenstar · 29/04/2021 18:44

Hot if I am serving with hot vegetables, cold if serving with salad

Stuffin · 29/04/2021 18:44

Always hot and always with chips Grin

@Evenstar oh interesting - I had it with salad too but hot chips and hot onion rings (triple carb?!)

I prefer cold, with a salad. 🙂

AndroidsAliensAndWizards · 29/04/2021 18:47

Warm with chips, cold with salad.

ShaunaTheSheep · 29/04/2021 18:47

Heat it up then let it cool down again.

AhNowTed · 29/04/2021 18:48

Warm, it tastes so much better, I've no idea why.

36degrees · 29/04/2021 18:48

Hot at home, cold if out at a picnic.

YouWereGr8InLittleMenstruators · 29/04/2021 18:48

As warm as possible after it stops wobbling following removal from the oven.

MikeWozniaksGloriousTache · 29/04/2021 18:49

Cold with a salad (and usually for lunch).
Warm with Chips (and usually for tea, and even with a salad).
Freshly made from scratch id have a slice warm then eat the rest cold in intervals through the day by taking small slices because I’m a pig and can’t resist

Hollyhocksarenotmessy · 29/04/2021 18:51

Hot is nicer. If it's just with salad and nothing else hot (more likely for lunch for us) then we'll have it cold.

Howyoudoingirl · 29/04/2021 18:52

For lunch cold - Salmon & Broccoli

For tea hot with beans - cheese & ham or something similar

captainprincess · 29/04/2021 18:53

Cold

RampantIvy · 29/04/2021 18:55

Cold, flabby pastry straight out of the fridge is horrible. I serve it hot or warm, while the pastry is still crisp.

RaraRachael · 29/04/2021 18:55

Warm with a salad. Cold quiche makes me boke Grin

NotTheNews · 29/04/2021 18:55

@Howyoudoingirl I love salmon and broccoli quiche. Have not had that in ages. Might need to go seek one out for next time. And have it hot for dinner Grin

Now, I want to make quiche.

IHaveBrilloHair · 29/04/2021 18:59

Either.
Hot if with chips, cold if with salad or if I'm grabbing a slice from the fridge to eat on it's own.
My favourite is broccoli, tomato and cheese, not had it for ages.

QueenAdreena · 29/04/2021 19:01

Warm, served with buttery baby potatoes and salad.

Oh now its all I can think about. I'm going to make one tomorrow. I like it served with my Sil's Dill pickles 😋

Tiredforfive45 · 29/04/2021 19:05

Always hot and smeared on a crunchy baguette with Lurpack and gravy for dipping (hears screams in the distance)...

SamMil · 29/04/2021 19:19

Hot with veggies. Sometimes I'll have leftover quiche cold with salad.

Stepawayfromdrgoogle · 29/04/2021 19:20

Cold with potato salad(double carb too) and mixed salad and hot if I’m having it with chips and beans or chips and veg

Pascha · 29/04/2021 19:20

Only hot for me, only cold for DH so I cut my portion out to cook it.
