There was a thread the other day that reached 1000 posts so closed. Did another thread get started? I have some questions!

How do places like theme parks and zoos know that all visitors have left? They are such massive places!

Why do only humans get pregnant when not only our periods but every other mammal is the other way around and can only get pregnant when in heat?

Why can't they work out which ovary releases the egg each month? I lost an ovary 16 years ago. Still bled every month. Shouldn't I run out of eggs earlier than someone with 2 ovaries?

I briefly worked in a large venue and we would close up in sections starting with those furthest from the entrance so that by actual closing time all of the visitors had been funnelled into 1-2 areas. So cordon off Section A to new visitors, gradually move the existing visitors out, square everything away while checking for stragglers, then move onto the next section. Everywhere is on camera, security guards know where to check for any hiders when doing their initial walk-around, and people generally don't want to hide out because they're likely to be caught and get into shit for it. A determined person could probably get away with hiding but they'd almost certainly be picked up on camera as soon as they started moving around.

I had an ovary removed when I was 25 and I did go through a fairly early menopause (45). I do kind of wonder if they’re related although no one mentioned at the time that it was a possibility.
