At what age did your dc have their 'big' growth spurt?

I have a 15 year old dd who is desperately hoping for a growth spurt. She's never grown a lot in one burst. She's very short and not happy about it.

Why are you asking, please? A brand new poster asking about children's development is sometimes a reason to be cautious.

15 (nearly 16). He was always short, then shot up about a foot in a month one summer. He's not tall now, but a fairly average 5'6ish. The later puberty is, the more growth happens before it, before the big spurt then stopping growing IYSWIM.

Mine started just after he turned 13 and has grown nearly five inches in the past year.

At fourteen my DS grew so quickly he had horizontal stretch marks on his back that looked like he had been whipped. He went from five foot nothing to six two in a couple of years.

DD had her biggest at 14 but continued to have smaller spurts right up until the age of 17

@FlibbertyGiblets Somehow I think you’re overreacting

My exH is 6ft 9, was bigger than 'normal' since being born at almost 13lb! By comparison my DB's were average or smaller than average until about 15years old, then rapidly grew to over 6ft in a couple of years.

My Ds's were all average sized until teenage years but then grew super fast. Measured youngest a couple of weeks ago and noted he'd grown over 3inches since Christmas!

Over reaction. She is only asking about height!
