38 weeks 3 days sharp stabbing in pains in cervix??

Ive found out two days ago I was 1cm at midwife appointment, I’m now just getting sharp stabbing pains in my cervix it is very sharp and makes me jump. They r coming every 3 4 minutes and when they do come I have this insane pressure following with the pains? anyone have any idea what this could be would it be labour approaching

It could be. Or it could also be the wonderfully termed ‘lightening crotch’ or ‘fanny daggers’ as baby presses down in your cervix. Try timing it to see if it contractions if your concerned phone assessment unit for advice
