Talk to me about super king sized mattresses

Need a new mattress desperately. At the moment DH and I are sleeping on 2 cheap single mattresses together on the SK frame (don’t ask Grin).

Anyway, problem is that we can’t really fit a mattress up the stairs so have to buy either a rolled up one or one of the zip up 2 part ones. I am assuming that if we want better quality (which we do) then rolled up is not suitable? Or would we just need to buy a decent topper for it?

Also, where do you buy zip up mattresses. I’ve never noticed them in bed shops before so are they readily available?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent mattress that is going to help me sleep with a neutral spine?

Our Simba mattress was delivered rolled up in a box. It started expanding over a couple of hours once we got it on the bed. If you get one of the Simba/Eve type ones buy extra deep sheets from M&S as they're quite tall.

We took our bedroom window out, which is extreme, but we had to do it to get the bed in and I love our bed frame!

Our super king sized Emma mattress is amazing and was delivered rolled up in a box that was easy to get up the stairs

Lots of mattresses are available in 6 ft zip and link.
Furniture shops that sell beds have a variety of mattresses which will be available as single, double, 5 ft, 6 ft ( superking ) and 6 ft zip and link.
I'd always have to check out a mattress before buying it.
Are Emma mattresses available in shops ?

Ikea Hovag SK. Comes rolled up and we have had it 2 years, been great so far.

We have the sk zip and link and the best part? You can have two different mattresses to suit. DH has a hard mattress and I have the medium. Perfection!

We have zip together mattresses and love them. Just bought them from a local independent shop. Most of the double mattresses on show they could order as zip ups. Ours are Harrison Fontana firm (which is very firm) but the bed itself is not Harrison.

Our super king is from Ikea and it came in two boxes. You zip it up once installed on the bed. Best thing ever, so much room!

@soberfabulous which one do you have? The ones I can see on the IKEA website are either rolled or in one piece

I think it's sultan? I'm overseas though so names/packaging might be different?
