To click send on internal promotion application or not?

Today is the deadline - application written but I can’t decide if I should press send! I THINK I want the job - but it would be a big leap from where I am. I can’t quite imagine myself actually doing it and im wondering if I’d actually just panic in the unlikely event that I got it! But it would be a great opportunity and on paper I’m suited to it. It would mean swapping my fairly easy, stress free but rather insecure job for the opposite. I just can’t decide!

Just send! You can withdraw later if you change your mind.

Just send it. Make the decision whether to accept after you secure an offer.

Do it. Doesn’t mean you have to accept it if offered it. And it keeps your options open for now. I’ve been in the same position and didn’t get the role, but I’m glad I went for it - the interview was useful practice and it helped me focus on what I do want to do next. Good luck!
