COVID vaccine cancelled

I woke up this morning to an email and text informing me that both my vaccines have been cancelled. My first one was supposed to be on Friday. There is no reason given why. I have had to rebook but have to wait another month now.

Has anyone else had this? I'm really annoyed.

Can you say which country you are in? I have not heard of this happening, no. Annoying for you!

No I checked it out and it was real. My first thought was it was a scam.

I think I would try to call someone to ask tbh.

My SiL had hers canclled at the weekend but wasn't told until she got to the vaccine centre was told the site was only doing 2nd jabs currently..

I wonder if that's the reason. I might try and call to find out and get a jab a bit sooner.

Hope you can get it sooner. Perhaps if you are able to go in at short notice you may be able to have a vaccine that otherwise could not be used.

Happened to my husband too. We are in Norfolk.
Had been really happy that he managed to book an appointment around work with a day off afterwards in case he feels rough.

Very rude lady rang and had booked another inconvenient appt over an hour away. She hung up before he could say it was no good!

My first one was cancelled. It was at a big vaccine centre. I called my gp and they managed to get me booked in there a few days later.

Thank you all for your replies. It's good to know it's not just me. I'm going to try and ring my gp today.

My guess would be that they haven't had an expected delivery.

So a quick update. My Gp couldn't book me in as I'm below 50 years old. They did advise that I call the local pharmacies that are giving it to see if they have spares. One of those said they actually ran out yesterday and are waiting for more. So it sounds like my cancellation may be due to lack of stock. I'm now on a waiting list with one of those pharmacies. Keeping my fingers crossed.
