I think it’s from a thing called The Doll club that was around mid 1990s.

Does that sound about right?

If I remember the dolls were the subject of a recall after several of them came alive in the middle of the night and murdered everyone in the house.

As already mentioned there should be a makers mark often at the nape of the neck.

If there is one slightly further up behind the ear and it reads as 666, you need to drop kick it and run away as fast as you can.
