Just threw away some earrings by mistake!

Pah. I absent minded lay cleared my baby rice cake crumb stuffed pockets out into a public bin and then realised an hour later that I had thrown away a favourite pair of earrings that were also stashed in that pocket - a back fell off one so I’d shoved them in there too. I appreciate I am a slattern and this is why they are gone. Console me with your slob based losses!

Finally clearing a load of old correspondance from the kitchen table before going on holiday.
I shredded the envelope containing my holiday currency because I had got bored with opening every envelope to check what was in it.☹

Did you previously live in my house. Moved in a d found random earrings everywhere, including one of the kitchen drawers a d the dishwasher.

Not a loss as such, but I once scooped up a little lump of cottage cheese from the worktop. Not entirely slob like as I had cleaned the work top immediately before making the cottage cheese sandwich.
However, as I realised when I ate that scooped up bit of cottage cheese, it was actually a lump of Jif cleaner I had failed to wipe away.
Not recommended.

It was pretty bad - taught me a lesson I haven't forgotten. Not everything on a work surface can be absentmindedly picked up and eaten without careful examination first!
